Ingredients

  • 500 g boneless chicken breasts Cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp salt Or to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup heavy cream Cooking cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Low sodium
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Grated
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes Optional
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley Chopped, for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Large skillet Non-stick or stainless steel
  • 1 Wooden spoon For stirring
  • 1 Measuring spoon set For accurate measurements
  • 1 Measuring cup For measuring liquids

Method

  1. Season the chicken pieces with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the same skillet.
  5. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the pan to release the browned bits.
  7. Add the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir well and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  8. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and cook until the sauce becomes creamy and slightly thickened.
  9. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and coat it well with the creamy garlic sauce.
  10. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes until the chicken is heated through and the sauce reaches your preferred consistency.
  11. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
  12. Serve hot with rice, pasta, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread.

Notes

  • Use boneless, skinless chicken breasts for the best result.
  • Do not overcook the chicken, as it can become dry.
  • Freshly minced garlic gives the sauce a stronger and more delicious flavor.
  • For a thicker sauce, simmer for an extra 1–2 minutes.
  • You can add spinach, mushrooms, or broccoli for extra vegetables.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently over low heat to prevent the creamy sauce from separating.
